There are also some other effector when we do vocal mixing.

While we mixing the vocal there are some mixing inputs that are specialised to mix the vocal audio track.

I will go along the effectors that I am usually put when I mix the vocal.

First one is deesser. DeEsser is literally delete a dental consonant sound like ‘s’, ‘ch’. It depends on the producers and music genre whether they use it or not. For instance, if we produce alternative pop or electronic music, there are some tools people use mostly such as auto tune which makes vocal sound more artificial to mix with electronic sounds better. To reduce the spitting sound and tiny noise in pronounciation, DeEsser can be a great tool that resolve those enquiries.

Reverb and delay are also most using mixing tool. These are sort of mixing about spatial factors. When we go to the orchestra hall or theater, all the arena have different sound because the sound is effected by the reflection from the structure of the audio space. In the concert rehearsal, the audio directing team’s role is similar to mixing the audio newly depending on performance venue. Some venue have strong reverberation, and some are less. Reverb and delay can maintain how the song sound in every arena.
